Reporting to the Director of Public Works this
position will be the County’s second Peace Officer position and responsibilities
include general patrols, vehicle axle weight enforcement on County
roads, bylaw enforcement and appointed provincial legislation. The
position involves shift work including weekends, statutory holidays
and on-call rotation.
Qualifications:
- Must have attended a Law Enforcement College
and/or the Alberta Justice Public Security/Peace Officer
Training Program and/or Police Training or equivalent program
recognized by Alberta Solicitor General’s department.
- Minimum
of (1) one year experience.
- Must be eligible for Provincial Community
Peace Officer 1 Appointment under Police Act;
- Firearms Training; Radar Operation; Dangerous
Goods Inspection;
- Level C First Aid; and CPR.
- In addition to the core requirements formal training in disaster
services and computer skills will be taken into consideration.

$52,709 to $65,359 |
