The Municipal District of Greenview No. 16 is a vibrant and
progressive municipality located in northwestern Alberta, with
offices located in Valleyview, the Portal to the Peace. We
are looking for dynamic individuals to fill the following positions:
Environmental Services Coordinator: Reporting to the Superintendent
of Public Works, you will be responsible for the overall operations of environmental
services, including but not limited to water and wastewater facilities, community
wells, landfill sites and transfer stations, as well as other related programs.
Your initiative, as well as your public relations, administrative and supervisory
skills will be the keys to success in this position.
QUALIFICATIONS: Post
secondary education in a related field, or a combination of equivalent
education and experience. A minimum 3 years experience in environmental services,
including project management and supervision. A Level 1 Water/Wastewater Certificate
would be a definite asset. A valid drivers license is required.
Heavy Duty Mechanic: This position will
report to the Shop Foreman / Mechanic at our Valleyview Field Services
Shop. The candidate will be responsible for repairing and
maintaining M.D. vehicles and equipment in the shop and / or on
job sites; performing regular scheduled preventative maintenance,
as well as commercial vehicle inspection permits.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a Heavy Equipment
Technician Journeyman Certificate, and a CVIP Technician License. A
valid drivers license is required.
