The Town of Innisfail, population 7,691, is conveniently
located in Central Alberta along the busy QE Highway Corridor.
Innisfail has a successful industrial sector, well planned residential
areas with excellent recreational facilities.
The Town of Innisfail is seeking applications from
qualified individuals for the position of Corporate Services
Director. The
Corporate Services Director is one of the Town’s four senior
management positions. This designated officer position is responsible
for carrying out the statutory responsibilities related to
Finance, Assessment and Taxation. Reporting to the CAO, the Director
is also responsible for:
- the coordination and efficient delivery of Finance,
Assessment and Taxation services including duties as Clerk for
the Assessment Review Board.
- serving as the Returning
Officer for municipal elections and plebiscites.
- Serving as Secretary to Council; attend all Council meetings
to record minutes.
- Ensuring efficient and effective services in the areas of
Cemetery, Safety Codes, Development, Human Resource and Information
technology services.
The ideal candidate will possess a knowledge of the Financial
aspects of the Municipal Government Act with at least three years
of related experience; a Professional Accounting designation is
preferred however a combination of education and experience may
be considered. Computer application skills, familiar with Bellamy
software as well as excellent organizational and time management
skills will be necessary to be successful in this position.
