Slave Lake is a progressive, dynamic community
of 7000 located 250 km. northwest of Edmonton on Highway 2. Situated
in the heart of Big Lake Country, Slave Lake is one of Alberta’s best

The Community Services Department is seeking a dynamic,
energetic person with a great work attitude to join a team of
like-minded people.
As a fast growing community committed to sustainable growth, Slave
Lake will provide a quality, accelerated work-related experience
for the right candidate. Working under the direction of the Director
of Community Services you will be responsible for ensuring by-laws
are kept current, permits and licenses issued/processed, regulatory
and licensing by-laws are enforced, specific provincial statutes
are enforced, and carry out all administrative office oriented
work that relates to community enforcement.

The successful applicant must have a minimum
Grade 12 education, preferred 3 year minimum experience in some
area of active, field law enforcement work, preferably enforcing
municipal by-laws, good written/verbal communications and public
relations skills, and a sound understanding of provincial and
municipal law. Supervisory
experience, have a sound understanding of Provincial and Municipal
Law, be eligible for Community Peace Officer Level I appointment
and the ability to pass a P.A.R.E. Valid class 5 drivers'
license.
