Director of Corporate Services

The Municipal District of Smoky River is seeking a permanent full-time Director of Corporate Services for its management team. Reporting to the CAO and working with an excellent council, senior management team and highly skilled support staff, the Director will be responsible for accounting, financial, human resources, recreation, information technology and administrative support services as well as assist in the leadership and management of the organization. The position will provide critical advice and guidance to the CAO, department heads and council. The chosen candidate will assume the CAO’s responsibilities in his absence.

We are looking for a person with knowledge of current financial practices and with management and supervisory skills as well as computer skills. Familiarity with Bellamy software is a definite asset. The ideal candidate will have above average analytical and accounting skills. Other experience may be considered.
