The Town of Vauxhall is seeking a highly motivated individual to assume the position of Chief Administrative Officer. Vauxhall is a progressive municipality with a strong sense of community and family. The area has a strong agricultural base with an active oil and gas exploration and transmissions industry. The town is known for its excellent schools, strong sports program and is the home of the first of its kind Canadian High School baseball program, The Vauxhall Academy of Baseball (www.vauxhallbaseball.com). The Town is currently experiencing growth in residential development and has planned infrastructure expansion, in anticipation of commercial and industrial growth.

Reporting to the Mayor and Council, the CAO is responsible for providing effective administrative leadership for the Town and will possess the following:

• a certificate in Local Government Administration or a record of success in municipal financial management will be considered.
• Excellent budget and financial acumen, with concise regular reporting to council.
• proven interpersonal leadership and communication skills.
• proficiency in information technology and the ability to lead the implementation of a new accounting software program.
• a willingness to be an active member of the community.
