The Society of Local Government Managers (SLGM) has planned a comprehensive educational program directed at meeting the needs of municipal administrators, assistants, departmental managers, and government employees looking for a professional educational experience that provides practical skills for dealing with contemporary issues.

Fourth Annual Alberta Local Government Leadership Forum
Hosted by the SLGM and Local Government Leadership (LGL) Institute for civic leaders throughout Canada.

These Forums offer senior managers a facilitated opportunity for sharing ideas, learning new concepts and developing leadership skills. The key features of the highly interactive LGL programs are: LGL Tool Kit – practical aids for implementation and coaching others; LGL Challenges – ‘real life’ case studies for application of concepts; LGL Competency Profile – for need assessment and structured learning; and LGL Checklists - sample action plans and guidelines for immediate use.
